Considered the strategic energy location in the Northeastern corridor of the U.S., Philadelphia is uniquely positioned for midstream and downstream energy enterprises. With the largest oil refining complex on the eastern seaboard, multi-billion investments in pipelines, extensive distributions infrastructure, and its proximity to both the Marcellus and Utica shale reserves, Philadelphia is an oil and gas powerhouse. The city is rich in oil refining and engineering talent and is ready to make the leap into the role of Global Energy Hub. To promote that idea, a group of C level private and public leaders have come together to form the Greater Philadelphia Energy Action Team. Their combined efforts have resulted in an exceptionally favorable environment for new energy investment.
